Cuevas gets a Chapter Acts of the seventeenth century

The Cuevas del Almanzora City Council has recovered some chapter acts dating from 1681, that have been seized by the Judicial Police Unit of the Civil Guard in the so-called operation "Las Clarisas" for the recovery of files and documents of the Spanish historical heritage. It is an operation against documentary plunder, which is still open, and for which several people have been arrested.

Mayor Antonio Fernández Liria, accompanied by the Secretary of the Cuevas City Council, yesterday received these documents in the Historical Archive of the Region of Murcia. The Government Delegate participated in this event, the Director General of Heritage and the Lieutenant Colonel of the Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia.

As highlighted by the first mayor, "The capitular acts that we have recovered are in a poor state of conservation, so the consistory will take care of their restoration and value in our Historical Archive, where we will reinforce the existing control and security system ".
