Vera City Council has presented GastroAndalucía in FITUR, International Tourism Fair, an initiative of the Department of Commerce that comes with the intention of supporting the trade in Vera and all the Almeria province as a tourist and commercial center of international and destination for sun lovers, from sea, of good food, ultimately, for those seeking quality of life.
GastroAndalucía, the first Food Fair in the province to be held 17, 18 and 19 next February, activity was presented by the Councillor of Commerce, Francisca Garcia, the Councillor for Tourism, Isabel de Haro, President of the Provincial, Gabriel Amat, and the delegate of Tourism in Almería, Alfredo Valdivia.
GastroAndalucía adds to the almerienses traditional dishes made by the best chefs in Andalusia and cooks the best children's area, ingredients Andalusian crafts and folklore character by Groupings and Andalusian Choirs with the aim that visitors have the opportunity to enjoy this event.
The GastroAndalucía Fair will be installed and held in the grounds of The Palm veratense, an attractive and pleasant environment, an oasis of palm trees originated in an old farm of dates from which still retains the old raft, hence the place is named La Balsica.
Vera is a meeting point where gastronomic and tourist finds different types of culinary experiences, excellent gastronomic pairings bathed in culture, the history, and the landscape. Andalusian cuisine is a great ambassador of good food without losing the identity and authenticity of a village.
The town of Vera is all decked out to welcome all entrepreneurs gastronomy, crafts and culture, who will share their specialties with all the visitors who will come to GastroAndalucía.
