Vera City Council has been active in the I Forum Andalusian Child Friendly Cities that,under the theme "Building new approaches in cities friends children UNICEF ', It was held this past weekend in Seville. The councilors of Children and Youth, Isabel Maria Belmonte, and Culture, Isabel de Haro, They coincided in highlighting "the importance of attending these meetings to exchange experiences and highlight the interest and concern of our community in matters related to childcare".
This forum will exchange good practices implemented in municipalities of Andalusia and experiences on local political and civic participation of other countries exposed, in addition to a space to reflect on other ways of working.
The meeting was organized by UNICEF in collaboration with the Andalusian Agency for International Development Cooperation (Department of Equality and Social Policy of the Andalusian).For two days they have shared good practices implemented in municipalities of Andalusia and have proven experience on local political and civic participation of other países.Además, studies have been devoted in order to consider other ways of working, as social entrepreneurship.
During the two days, children, and adolescents of the Councils of the Autonomous Region Children, They participated in the presentation of the conclusions of the First Meeting Andalusian Municipal Councils for Children.
