The territorial delegate Equality, Health and Social Policy, Alfredo Valdivia, has visited the residence of elderly and child protection center of town.
The Andalusian has allocated in the year 2013 total 1.698.080,27 euros for the maintenance of social policies in the town of Seron, Almeria. The territorial delegate Equality, Health and Social Policy, Alfredo Valdivia, has visited today the town, where he held a meeting with the mayor, Juan Antonio Lorenzo and visited the local seniors residence and the center of child placement.
In the town of Seron we currently 135 beneficiaries of the system dependency care, that are recognized 181 benefits. To fund its assistance, the Department of Equality, Health and Social Policy has earmarked Year 2013 total 1.435.358 euros.
In the past year were used 197.206,92 euros for the financing of cash benefits for care in the home environment, of which have benefited 49 Seron neighbors. For his part, the home help service has provided over Seron 29.000 hours of service, with a budget of 379.860 euros.
The Department of Equality, Health and Social Policy also maintains an agreement with the Municipal Seniors Residence Seron. It will cater for more than fifty users, with total cost 855.731 euros during the year 2013.
Outside the scope of the care dependency, in the town there is a basic residential care center for children who are wards of the Andalusian, whose operation have spent the last year 236.094 euros.
In 2013, were seven families have benefited from Seron Minimum Income Solidarity, with a total contribution of 18.196 euros and have witnessed nine contracts through Plan to Assist the Procurement made by decree of extraordinary and urgent measures to combat social exclusion.
While visiting Seron, territorial delegate Equality, Health and Social Policy, Alfredo Valdivia, noted that "the Andalusian is making a great effort to maintain social policies, despite the cuts imposed by the Central Government, only in the field of dependence have meant a loss of 314 million in the last three years to cater to the dependents of our community ". Valdivia explained that "when it launched the Law Unit, Board and Central Government funded each with a 50% the benefits under the law, while the Board currently contributes 72%, after cuts of the national executive ".
For Valdivia, the investment in Seron shows "the strong commitment of the Government of Andalusia by the attention to the most vulnerable groups, as dependents and families with special needs, to the plight of crisis we, has hit virulently ". Alfredo Valdivia has also stated "the efforts made by the Andalusian government by decree against social exclusion, which has resulted in concrete measures, as recruitment subsidies, strengthening home care or expanding funding for the social wage ".
For his part, Mayor of Seron, Juan Antonio Lorenzo, stressed that "social policies developed by the Junta de Andalucía are keeping 70 direct jobs in our town and make a big annual investment, also of benefit to those who need it most ".
