Between January and November 2014, mills of Almería, in 307 trade, have been sold in foreign markets 1,9 million kilos of olive oil, which represents 15,7% more than in the same period of 2013. For these sales, the Almeria firms invoiced 7,1 million, a 7,1 % more than in the reference period. For billing, Almeria is ranked 6 Andalusia and the 17 del ‘ranking’ Spanish provinces of export product, according to data compiled by Extenda from Datacomex report of November.

U.S., following increased purchases, I imported in the first eleven months of last year product worth 2,2 million, representing 43,6% Olive oil exporting Almería, as highlighted by the territorial delegate of Agriculture, Fisheries and Environment, José Manuel Ortiz. After US, the second best customer Almería is Italy, that it has acquired oil valued at 1,4 million, a 27,8% of the total exported by the province. The third destination is Switzerland (7,9), and fourth, UK (5,8%). Other consumers of Almeria oil are France, Poland, Andorra, Mexico, Germany, China, Japan, South Korea and Peru.
