The book 'Silver and Lead Times’ Cuevas sees the light

Cuevas del Almanzora this summer will host a series of presentations of the book catalog "Silver and lead times. Economy and society in the nineteenth century Cuevas ", by the authors Enrique Fernández Bolea, José Guerrero Rodríguez and Pedro Perales Larios and edited by Arráez Editores. A publication that was born after the great reception of the exhibition that bore his name and that commemorated the 175 anniversary of the discovery of the Jaroso reef in Sierra Almagrera.

For this reason, This summer the cycle of presentations that has been programmed will take this publication to the different enclaves that were closely related to that period that marked the history of Cuevas del Almanzora. On Friday 22 July at 21:00 hours the presentation will take place at the Culata del Paseo Marítimo de Villaricos, Saturday 6 August at 21:00 hours in the Los Lobos Social Hall and on Friday 26 August at 21:30 hours in Las Herrerías (place yet to be determined).

As one of its authors has stated, Cuevas official chronicler Enrique Fernández Bolea, "the content, the rich and extensive graphic support and contextualized reproduction of all the original pieces that made up the collections of that exhibition are now reproduced in a luxurious and very careful edition ".

The Municipality of Cuevas del Almanzora, that collaborates with the edition of this special publication, together with SAT Los Guiraos and Cuevas Bío, invites "residents of the region and visitors to participate in the next presentations and learn more about the history of our municipality".
