The City of Huércal-Overa, through Huércal-Overa Boosts program, II launches Business Ideas Contest "EmprendedHOres" making the leap to the participation of youth in the region. This competition is part of the strategic lines of the City Council for the promotion and encouragement of innovation and entrepreneurship among students in the region. During these days is being presented this initiative, which takes place for the second year, both students and teachers, In fact the area councilor for Economic Promotion, Monica Navarro, He met this morning at the Faculty of Cuevas-Olula Center to move the competition to the rest of the educational community and that can make them partakers of students in the region, likewise already it is taken to the Institutes Cura Valera and the municipality Albujaira.
"From City Hall we put up this competition with that high school students, training cycles and high school, learn firsthand how to carry out a project through a feasibility plan, the reality of a company, the start of the activity in it and the development and sale of its products or services. While we promote teamwork ", Navarro explained who noted that "will reward the best ideas and innovative business projects that arise, to motivate young people to propose business initiatives and schools to inculcate entrepreneurship ".
The projects will be presented by groups 3 students from any school of ESO and / or Bachiller and Vocational Training students. Each project will be developed by a working group that will be mentored by a teacher / school tutor. Each group will develop an entrepreneurial project related to a free theme and a clear objective.
It will be a selection committee who will make a shortlist of 6 projects that the centers be notified 5 April 2019. Groups shortlisted will be invited to the awards ceremony to be held the day 10 April in the framework of the Days 4ths of Huércal-Overa Entrepreneurship. The event shortlisted groups should make an oral presentation of their entrepreneurial project, supported by the media of their own choosing, before the jury in charge of the awards rule. Projects can be submitted until 1abril in the register of the City.
The mayor of Economic Development noted that "after the good reception that was in the last edition and interesting projects that presented the young participants return to launch this contest opening participation to students in the region hoping to get to work and submit their projects. I encourage you to fight for this idea to work it and make it happen because if you believe and put your effort can be achieved as the slogan of our days Believe in your idea says ... Create your future ", and welcomed the interest shown "by teachers that we have once again opened the doors of schools to pass on the contest and have offered to collaborate on everything you need".
The selection committee will assess the following criteria on the business idea presented:
1. Originality and innovativeness of the idea. (30%)
2. potential impact of the idea in terms of wealth creation and employment generation. (25%).
3. Viability of the proposal and its implementation. (25%)
4. Adequacy of implementation of the business idea in the municipality of Huércal-Overa. (20%)
All participants will have a diploma of the contest and award the best business idea presented with a Tablet for each participating team and a mentor for the development of the idea; It also has established an award Entrepreneur Education Center consisting of attendance and active participation to the Fair of Ideas at the University of Almería, valued at 400 euros awarded to the school.
