This morning has been opened in Cuevas del Almanzora exhibition entitled "El Canto del Ave Feniz. Outsider Art Exhibition "organized by the Andalusian Public Foundation for Social Integration of Persons with Mental Illness FAISEM in collaboration with the City.

The exhibition can be seen today in the Chamber of the Third del Castillo del Marqués de los Vélez until next 20 December.

This morning the mayor of Modesto Indalecio culture and education councilors Ana Maria Castro, Mirian youth Quintana and Jose Maria works and services Bascuñana, They visited the exhibition and have accompanied the provincial delegate of Amparo FAISEM Lloret and curator Antonio Llaguno in the opening ceremony.

El arte outsider, also known as "art brut", refers to art conducted by authors who are on the margins or periphery of official academic art. It is not necessarily an artistic style associated with psychosis, but it relates, even tangentially, by the expression of distinct experiences. It is an art in gross state, authentic, for some it's pure art, without formal devices and represent a clear example of the artistic creativity of each of the authors.

The exhibition consists of 54 works 17 Painters province of Almería. Specifically, artists are the following: Moses Nevado Ariza, Modesto Fernández Molina, Selena Maria Rodriguez Medina, Josefina Egea Carrizo, Island, JMA, Andrés Flores Piñero, Francisca Aurelia Brown Brown, Encarna Sánchez Martínez, anonymous, Juan María Sánchez Segura, Juan Luis Arenas Vergara, Cañas Francisco Sánchez, Jeanne Carmen Rodríguez Alonso, Salvador Rodríguez Santiago, Rosario Ruiz and Maria Dolores Vargas Magdalena Lopez.

Esta exposición itinerantemente que ya ha estado en los municipios de Almería, Huercal Overa, Pulpí, Garrucha, Mojacar and El Ejido, aims to present the artistic works of these painters, some difficulties, but use art as an alternative health, being able to have a life.

At the same time it is intended with this show, combat stigma that society has towards people with mental illness, It is through art the best way to combat the stereotypes that generates the disease.

The creative force of these artists do not leave indifferent those who visit the exhibition, where each of the works is an explosion of color, emotions and capabilities that are reflected in each of the strokes.

The exhibition will be open from Tuesday to Saturday schedule 10.00 a 13.30 hours and 16.00 a 19.00 hours and Sunday 10.00 a 13.30h. Sunday afternoons and Mondays closed room.
