The Huércal-Overa City Council and social associations sign an agreement for the free use of municipal spaces

The mayor of Huércal-Overa, Francisca L. Fernández, In the afternoon of yesterday, an agreement was signed for the cession of free use of municipal spaces with four social associations of the municipality: Association of People with Disabilities Virgen del Río, these, Alzheimer's Association and La Cuna del Bolillo Association.

The mayor pointed out that through the signing of this agreement "the municipal support and legal security of both parties are guaranteed for the performance of the activities that are contemplated in the corporate purpose of the associations that carry out in our town a commendable work of commitment to raising awareness and supporting groups such as people with disabilities or affected by some type of disease or disorder ".

The document includes in writing what has been done de facto "so that we all have the peace of mind that we know the responsibilities of both the City Council and the associations".

The councilor from Huercalense explained that the agreement will also be signed with other social associations, neighborhood and cultural associations, At the same time, he recalled that a call for subsidies has been included in the municipal budget project for this year from the Government team so that the different non-profit entities can present their projects with those activities that they will carry out at the same time. throughout the year in which they want the City Council to collaborate with a budget line. Also improving the planning and transparency of all the collaboration that with public money from the City Council is provided to the different associations to boost their activities, "That result in our municipality having a live and dynamic associative fabric".
