The Tree of Life Huercal-Overa continues its journey around the world through photography contest launched by the Department of Tourism of the City, "The Tree of Life in my luggage" which aims to promote this unique symbol of the municipality found inside the Castle during their rehabilitation, "Its importance is that it is one of the few documented examples of the Iberian Peninsula", He stressed the councilor of the area, Monica Navarro.
In the competition involved residents of the municipality who have traveled, for pleasure, work or personal reasons, from around the world. With T-Shirt Tree of Life they have made their snapshots with monuments, parks and landmarks from different countries: Thailand, Sydney, Roma, Dubrovnik, shops, New York, and several cities in our country like Pamplona and Madrid, inter alia.
The judge, composed of four huercalenses photographers, COFHO group members met to vote the pictures and choose the four winners. So the first prize was awarded to the photograph of Irene Lazarus for his photograph in El Nido del Tigre (shops), the second prize went to Toni Jiménez for his instant in Thailand, the third prize was awarded to Irene Jimenez and fourth prize went to David Sanchez.
Councilor for Tourism congratulates the winners and thanks all participants for the "wonderful photographs you have given us", noting that a year has achieved the intended objective "to promote this unique jewel in the Iberian Peninsula and differentiating and promote our village with many tourist attractions".
The awards to the winners will take place on Wednesday 10 January at 12:00hours at the Teatro Villa de Huércal-Overa. The awards consist of: First Prize a Gift Box weekend trip; Second prize a water sports camera; The third prize is a gourmet experience and the fourth prize is endowed with cabin luggage trolley suitcase with the logo of the Tree of Life.
