A group of young unemployed in the region of Almería Marble will have the opportunity to train as 'Stone Artisans' thanks to an action launched by Spanish Red Cross in Macael through the Learning Project Working, Operating funded by the Youth Employment Program, belonging to the European Social Fund and the Ministry of Employment and Social Security.
This action, which begins Monday 21 November, It will last six months, during which time all students will be awarded a scholarship. The aim of the project is to train unemployed youth in the area, in a field with great demand from companies in the region, to facilitate insertion as many as possible thereof.
The organization of this training was carried out through close cooperation between Red Cross and Cosentino, which it has turned to the materialization of the project, both as regards the programming of the course content, and the provision of necessary materials. Also, It has had the collaboration of the Association of Marble Andalusia, which it has provided financing for the project and is committed to facilitate the integration of students in various companies affiliated to the Association, offering an internship of three months and a half days.
Last, also acknowledge the transfer of the necessary for the development of training by the municipality of Olula del Rio facilities, municipality that has opened the doors to this project, welcomed with great interest and affection.
All these collaborations have resulted in a ceremony attended Dolores Torres Cruz, Local Red Cross president in Macael; Antonio Sanchez Tapia, President of the Association of Andalusia; Antonio Martinez Pascual, Mayor of Olula del Rio and Justo Martinez Ruiz, Director of Institutional Relations Cosentino.
