The Department of Sustainability of the Coast and the Sea has announced the tender for the service contract for the upgrade project of environmental recovery of beaches located between the port of Garrucha and Almanzora River Delta. The Official Gazette published today the resolution of the Directorate General under the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, Food and Environment.
The project includes the works necessary to prevent loss of sand through an existing undersea canyon beachfront, in the area between Garrucha and Vera. This groyne tear from contradique port Garrucha with an approximate length of 268 m aims sand retention and prevent loss existing submarine canyon.
The deputy of the Government in Almería explained that "this performance thanks to the stability of the beaches of Garrucha be improved, Vera and Cuevas del Almanzora ". He also said that "the project will also involve the study of coastal dynamics Vera Beach in the area near Cuevas del Almanzora".
This project, once completed, It must be submitted to the appropriate handling of environmental assessment. It is estimated that the budget of the works reach 1,9 million.
The date for submission of tenders or requests to participate to bid the contract is open until next 29 June with a base budget bidding 40.540,38 €. Once the project will be tendered within 4 months for writing and delivery.
