The Plaza de los Cuatro Caños hosted last weekend the closing ceremony of the Blue Program&Blue. Contemporary art, which it has been developed in Vera, Cultural city, under the direction and coordination of MECA Mediterranean Arts Center and the General Commissariat of Fernando Barrionuevo.
During two months, Vera has become the main axis of the most current culture of the Levante Almeriense, endowing the city with creative energy and conferring it as a driving force behind the generation of solid strategies in which the attraction between the different communities that make up the town and the more than 40 Participating artists have established themselves as a constant in the different programs that have been part of this project, also understanding Blue&Blue, as my own, identity and with the very essence of the area.
During the day that took place at the Water Museum, the Councillor for Culture, Isabel de Haro, stated that "this project is a fusion of contemporary art and what the municipality of Veracruz represents in terms of avant-garde, tourism and art ". For his part, Mayor Vera, Felix Lopez, noted that "a seed has been planted with this ambitious project that must germinate in the youngest with regard to art and position the municipality of Vera in the contemporary art scene". Also, served to remember the different activities that have been generated and the direct meetings and actions that have been jointly carried out among the resident population, visitors and creators.

In Contemporary Palimpsest Painting Workshops taught by Fernando Barrionuevo at the Botanical Garden, attended by the Councilors for Education and Tourism, María Montoya and Isabel de Haro, respectively, participated in its different editions more than 40 students (children, youth and adults) and that had the participation in the section of Action Painting from two professional artists: Francisco Alarcón and José Ramón París and finally the Closing Party Blue&Blue in the Water Museum where the documentary Blue was screened&Blue and featured a live performance by Ernest Maubec Dj.
Also, In it, the presentation of the different certificates of participation for the professional artists and the students of the different workshops was held..
Blue&Blue has been established as a process in which the artists who have participated have offered new creative visions, counting collective coexistence as the main axis.
