Brussels records the 'ham Seron’ as a protected designation of origin in the EU.

The European Commission announced Wednesday that it has included the 'ham Seron’ in its register of protected designations of origin in the European Union, with mention Protected Geographical Indication (IGP).

This distinction implies that at least one of the stages of production of olive –Product processing and preparation– has taken place in the geographical area to which the name refers.

The 'Ham Seron’ and goes to swell the list of more than 1.200 food and protected by the European Union for the peculiarities of its production and care of tradition.
