The new primary care center in the town of Arboleas have more than 1.500 square meters, multiplying by 15 the space of existing facilities. The territorial delegate Equality, Health and Social Policy, Jose Maria Martin has visited the construction works of the new center today, which they are in their final phase and in which the Board will invest 1.386.440 euros.
The construction project of the new primary care center Arboleas envisages the creation of a building of 1.507 square meters of floor area, versus 100 square meters from the current center. The new facility will house a total of 14 consultations (10 of Family and Community Medicine, two multipurpose Nursing, and 2 of Pediatrics), on 3 that exist.
The center will also have an area of minor surgery, with consultation, waiting room and cures, which will expand the portfolio of services of the center with the realization of small interventions. Their equipment will be completed with the creation of own spaces for public health professionals, customer care and social work; and a living health education, with storage and changing rooms.
Also, center professionals will have a living room, library, boardroom, training room and locker rooms. The project also includes the creation of support services, as a warehouse, room medical waste and toilets adapted for adults and children.
Jose Maria Martin recalled during the visit that "works are already in its final phase, so we hope that along 2017 reception can be carried out and initiate the administrative procedure and the provision of furniture and equipment, necessary to proceed with the opening ".
The delegate recalled that "in addition to Arboleas, the Board is promoting the construction of new primary care centers in the towns of Antas and Olula del Rio, as well as the expansion of the Garrucha and Macael ". In recent years they have put into service in the province of Almería 12 new centers or extensions of existing, with an investment of more than 10,5 million.
